What is Self Park at Heathrow?
Self Park means you drive to a secure compound near Heathrow, park in the bay reserved for you, lock up and take your keys with you. Nobody else drives or moves your car while you are away.
urbook lists 2 Heathrow Self Park options as of October 2026, both at the same barrier-controlled, CCTV-monitored compound at the Sheraton Heathrow, A4 Bath Road, Harlington, Hayes UB3 5BP. It suits anyone who wants a low-fuss, budget-friendly option and would rather not hand over their keys.
How does Heathrow Self Park work on the day?
You ring ahead, drive to the compound, park in your allocated bay and make your own way to the terminal. It takes a few minutes longer than Meet & Greet, but you stay in control of your car.
- 30 minutes before: call the number on your booking confirmation.
- At the compound: a member of staff meets you, checks the car over with you and shows you your bay. Park in that bay only – parking outside it can lead to a Penalty Charge Notice.
- Lock up and keep your keys. Keep any entry ticket safe; your booking covers one entry and one exit.
- Coming home: travel back to the compound, walk to your car and drive out – no waiting for a driver to bring it round.
How do I get from Self Park to my terminal?
Transport to the terminal is not included in the price. Use the Hotel Hoppa from the Marriott stop or a local bus from Bath Road; the provider's routes are below.
| Terminal | Route from the compound (provider information) | About |
|---|---|---|
| Terminal 2 & 3 | Bus 278, 111, 275 or SL9 from Harlington Corner (Stop J) | 15 min |
| Terminal 4 | Bus 285 from New Road, Harlington (Stop D), then the Piccadilly line from Hatton Cross | 20 min |
| Terminal 5 | Bus 423 from Harlington Corner (Stop J) | 15 min |
If you would like a private transfer to the terminal, call the car park before your parking date – availability depends on the car park, so plan to use the bus or Hoppa. Not sure which terminal you need? See which Heathrow terminal is my flight, and allow extra time using how early to arrive at Heathrow.
Is Self Park better than Park & Ride or Meet & Greet?
Choose Self Park if keeping your keys matters most; Park & Ride if you want a shuttle; Meet & Greet if speed at the terminal matters most.
| Self Park | Park & Ride | Meet & Greet | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who parks the car | You | Depends on the car park | A driver, from the terminal |
| Keys | Stay with you | Depends on the car park | Handed to the driver |
| Getting to the terminal | Bus or Hoppa (not included) | Shuttle | Walk straight in |
| urbook price from (checked 9 Oct 2026) | Shown live when you search | £63.60 for 7 days | £81.60 for 7 days |

What should I check before booking?
Check your vehicle size, your return time and whether you want Cancellation Cover – these are the things that catch people out.
- Vehicle size: standard cars and SUVs up to 5.0m long, 2.0m wide and 2.1m high. Vans, motorhomes, trailers, roof boxes and bike racks must be declared before booking.
- Return time: coming back later than booked is charged by the provider at its overstay rate.
- Electric cars: charging is not included and may not be available.
- Cancellation Cover: add it at checkout to cancel online up to 24 hours before drop-off for a full refund. (Bookings made before 26 October 2026 keep 48 hours.)
